This course is designed for front line workers. The course teaches about de-escalation techniques and risk managment. The differences between these approaches and how to determine which approach is appropriate to the situation. Organisation policy and procedures are incorporated into the course.

This is an entry level course for any person. The content describes mental health and mental illnesses in Australia. There is knowledge and skill building on how to recognise when a person is becoming unwell and first steps to assisting that person.

This course is to help people understand Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and how to respond to a person experiencing a PTSD episode. There is a lot of knowledge and skill building which can help you assist a person living with PTSD. This course is most suited to people working in the Aged Care field or people looking after a friend or relative who experiences PTSD.
